Three Lander University graduates recently took the oath to serve as officers in the U.S. Army during a commissioning ceremony at Presbyterian College for the Highlander Battalion, which comprises Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) cadets from Lander, Presbyterian College and Newberry College.

On Thursday, May 7, the College of Business and Technology had the opportunity to name one Lander alumnus as the Community Collaborator of the Year.
On their first day of nursing school at Lander University, many students experienced similar emotions: excitement for the future mixed with fear, and uncertainty about the demanding road ahead. Years later, those emotions were transformed into confidence, compassion and a deep commitment to serving others.
