Dr. Jermaine Johnson, a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives and a candidate for governor, made a campaign stop at Lander University while in the Upstate Monday, April 13.
In the late spring of an academic year, one might expect there to be a sense of nervousness among soon-to-be college graduates, who in just a matter of weeks will begin their lives after college.
Lander University’s recent Ring Ceremony for upperclassmen represented more than a tradition: it was a celebration of achievement, perseverance and the journey each student has taken.
Lander University will celebrate the academic achievements of the Class of 2026 during the University’s 173rd Commencement Exercises Wednesday, May 6, in Finis Horne Arena.
